Short answer
Reposts, still widely called retweets, have their own route on your X profile, separate from your posts and your replies. Undoing one removes your repost and leaves the original post untouched. The extension reads that dedicated Reposts route and lets you review items before using X’s Undo repost control. X exposes no dependable reposted-at date, so the extension promises no date filtering for reposts.
Limit
The source post remains untouched. The corrected dedicated route is implemented, but current live removal has not yet been verified.
Why native cleanup is hard
The platform controls work. They were never built for history, which is the friction people hit before they look for anything else.

How to delete retweets
Reposts, still widely called retweets, have their own route on your profile. The extension reads that route so they are never confused with your own posts.
